Kerry & Carl- Polhawn Fort

So what do you get if you mix an actress with a model maker? I flipping awesome wedding that's what. We had lots of tears, zombie coconut shy, 305 steps down to the beach, wet photographers bottom, epic golden hour and a full on choreographed first dance.

I met these two for their engagement shoot and instantly knew I was going to get on with these guys, mainly due to our love of The Walking Dead and how we would survive when the world goes up s*it creek, I feel I have the tools to be bad-ass zombie killer....anyway back to Kerry and Carl.... I can honestly say this wedding (the first of the year for me) has set a massive barrier to full-fill, so future bride and grooms....bring it on......here's to an awesome 2017 of weddings.

Massive thanks to Steve Urwin my assistant from S.R.Urwin Weddings, for being a massive tech geek and teaching me a thing or two.

Jo & Anthony- Micklefield Hall

So, the end of the season last year, my website got hacked!! So I am missing a hell of a lot of weddings on my website......so I am re-uploading them now. Jo & Anthony were married back in August 2016, in the gorgeous place that is Micklefield Hall, where I have been lucky to photograph a few times now. Jo and I worked at John Lewis together as budding web designers, so spent many a days moaning about our jobs, both since have left and are loving our new jobs, although I occasionally go back to John Lewis as a contractor.

I have never seen so much colour at a wedding, my first African wedding, boy did these guys know how to dance!!

Sophie & Ross- Northbrook Park

So I don't usually photograph weddings in the Winter, bad weather, cold, rain, it gets dark by 3.30pm, basically a logistical nightmare for us photographers who need light to do our job. I was always going to photograph Sophie & Ross's regardless of when it was, I know Soph from when I treaded the boards in my first pantomime...Peter Pan, which is fact is my favourite story of all time. I have fonds memories of running around on stage, hiding in our den as a lost boy with Soph, and since have been friends.

I'm not gonna lie, it was cold on their wedding day...BUT we had the most beautiful fog and sunset, so I take back everything I said about hating Winter weddings!

This wedding had peacocks, trump cards, a bridesmaid busting out the worm, and the thing I have NEVER seen before...... a bride doing a crab in her wedding dress!! Loved this wedding!

Massive thanks to my fab assistant Jade Eleanor Photography!! Flowers by the ever amazing Ivy Florence and my bestie made all the wedding stationary with her company Little Light Invites. xx

Hannah & Neil- Second photographer for Kelly Love Photography-Wotton House

So now and then I get to second my lovely friend Kelly Love Photography. Kelly often seconds for me and I return the favour.....we have a lot of fun together. So this was a wedding I turned up and knew half the guests there. I went to college with Hannah and knew Neil from out and about in Redhill, so was a shock to find some old faces there. I had shot at Wotton House earlier in the year, and love this venue, although it rained on us, it rained at the right time, producing amazing moody skies. Anyway take a look at some shots I took as a second photographer.

Lauren & Ben- Hookhouse Farm

Lauren and Ben were my last wedding of the season (apart from the odd one in December for a friend) and I was greeted by the fluffiest friend in the morning, who didn't leave our side. Lauren got ready at her grandparents house and I remember her sister saying something like when they got older they wanted to get married at their house, well this was as good as. Grandparents are the ones who let you stay up, have sweets when you like, the ones that above everything will be there for you, and it was lovely to see Lauren get walked down the aisle by her Grandad and Dad.

Albeit it being windy and a bit nippy, Hookhouse provided the best laid back venue, and is always a pleasure going back. Massive thank you to my assistant Kelly Love Photography for helping me. I hope these bring back treasured memories for you both....JJP xx

Sarah & Alex- Royal Automobile Club

So, this wedding.......rained all day, well it stopped for a few minutes enough for me to drag them away from their profiteroles. I hadn't been to the RAC club before, and the Epsom one had recently been refurbished and it looked pretty good, so we easily found places inside to photograph S&A. Although everyone thinks, I hope it doesn't rain on my wedding day unless you are getting married outside, it doesn't matter and this wedding, most of the time you didn't know it was raining. Everyone looked like they were having a good time.

From breastfeeding bridesmaids, raffle prizes, two first dances and a guinea pig usher, massive thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome and it was a pleasure to photograph your day (especially as it was my birthday) Thanks to my lovely assistant Kelly Love for buying me a birthday cake xxx

City Burlesque Fashion Shoot

So I was approached by my super talented dress maker friend Felicity about putting together a fashion shoot with like-minded talented people we knew in the industry and voila....here it is!

Note....I had to be up super early for this shoot, and I don't do early mornings being a Freelancer and night owl, I tend to get up late and work late. I don't know how Vanessa looked so fresh that morning (I guess Charlotte the MUA helped with that)

Nicky & Tim- Harewoods Home Farm

This wedding was just wow.........I get this feeling in the morning when I arrive if it's going to be an easy wedding. Easy as in the weather is perfect, the couple are relaxed, the guests are fun and the venue is beautiful. Nicky and Tim ticked all these boxes.

Their wedding was on top of a hill in the beautiful setting of Outwood in Surrey, some guests arrived in a London bus whereas Nicky was supposed to arrive in her dads Orange Opel car which he had been restoring in secret, they made it within yards of the venue when it broke down, so another British/German car, the Mini, had to come to the rescue and Nicky and her dad drove through the fields to get to there blessing under a big tree.

As you will see in the photos, there is a German theme, Tim's family are German, and they had a Bratwurst trailer arrive in the evening to feed everyone the famous sausage, I had my first experience, one which for me, may have tasted better with a Stein in ones hand! (sorry Tims family) I am a girl who likes to burn my sausages!

Having witnessed a lady falling off the hay bails, a child washing a plastic pig and a kid eating a microphone, this wedding is up there in my fav's of this year and so happy to have been there to witness this tie of British and German love.

So if my GCSE German is up scratch (or my go to Google translator) then.......

Ich wünsche Ihnen alles Glück in Ihre Zukunft zusammen xx

Mark & Nicola- Rumbolds Farm

Mark & Nicola's day, was a day of running inside and outside, away from freak showers to bright sunlight, and the wind...... I don't think I have had such a windy day before (wind is great for veil shots though) Regardless of the weather, Mark and Nicola, carefree and relaxed, made the day a joy to photograph, when in reality rain and bright sunlight are a photographers nightmare.

The barn......you literally stepped into a greenhouse full of colourful plants, such a lovely idea giving your guests a plant they can take away and grow for years after (or days knowing me and my luck with looking after plants)

So naturally I make friends with the kids at weddings, not sure why, I just attract them. There were a few in particular, who I like to call green hair boy (his friend dyed his hair with permanent dye days before he started his new school) which I thought was hilarious! Another friend, who I later made my apprentice, will be an amazing photographer when he grows up and hope I pushed him towards this as the boy has talent (he made £5 that night for his skills)

Just want to thank everyone for being great subjects to photograph and making the day very fun!

Wishing you both all the happiness in your amazing future together.....................................JJP xx

Natalie & Jeremy- Rivervale Barn

Natalie and Jeremy were married at Rivervale Barn, deep in the heart of Hampshire, on a hot Summers day in August. Hot pink, mohawk, pimms, football, coloured socks and pencils are amongst a few things thinking back about the day. Obviously N&J will remember other things about their wedding, but to me, most things I remember visually, as well as maybe a story about a toe? which made all the girls laugh? Anyway, amazing day with two gorgeous people, wishing you lots of love and laughter in your future together. Massive shout out to Jade Eleanor Photography for assisting me...xx

Natalie & Chris- Froyle Park Country Estate

So how can I explain this wedding.......10 out of 10 as Natalie would say! These guys were so laid back and relaxed on the day I felt like I had been mates with them for ages. I even got a gift on the day....a wooden cut out of name, which is on my 'wall of love' at home. First up walking into the room Natalie was getting ready, another girl (who later was a bridesmaid) had a bride to be t-shirt on...I was like hang on.....are you fobbing me off with two weddings here.....no they weren't in the end....A lot of guests were Scottish (Natalie's side) and found myself trying to not speak in a Scottish accent, if anyone knows me, my accent is REALLY bad! Also Natalie in her dress...well as the Scots say....... A pritty face suits the dish-cloot, which doesn't exactly some it up as her dish-cloot was amazing, hands down one of my fav this season! (I hope I Googled this correctly)

My day was pretty easy, when my bride and grooms are so laid back, it's easy, plus I had the help of my assistant Sally from SomePlaceNicePhotography, who kindly helped me on this Thursday wedding. Apart from Natalie's step-dad spilling red wine on the table cloth (which I haven't Photoshopped out yet) the day was pretty much perfect........ so Natalie & Chris........Lang may yer lum reek xx

p.s this will be hilarious if I have got these Scottish interpretations wrong......haha

Lara & Howard- Grittenham Barn

This wedding, I knew from the start was going to be bloody good. These two are a couple where you instantly feel like you have been friends with them for ages. When Lara told me she had a two piece wedding dress, I knew, this is a good wedding.......

So when the Groom happens to mention 'oh my Mum is a Wedding Photographer' you think 'great!!' she's going to be watching and judging me all day (which is what I would do going to a wedding as a guest....WHICH IS NEVER)................BUT.........Howards Mum was anything but the person I described above, she 'got me' and understood the battles one Photographer takes at weddings (mainly not eating or drinking to sitting for a long periods of time)

Lara looked stunning, and most of my brides look amazing BUT no lie, Lara looked beautiful, her bridesmaids (mainly her sister) made me feel so welcome that morning and wanted to hang out with them all day. Sometimes my job is easy, some days harder, but this one flowed amazingly. Sometimes the little things people pay so much attention to at weddings, don't matter. Lara & Howard got their friends and family to bake their 20 odd weddings cakes (which they judged at the end in a Baker-off) Howards surname is Baker btw..

They had a celebrity turn up in the Best Man's speech.......David Brent.....we all know how that went....they had 'around the world snacks as the canapes.....and in their first dance they finished dancing with emoji faces on their heads......

I don't think I need to say anymore about this wedding....take a look.......xx
